Professional Sports Provision

Multi-ACTIVE aims to provide a wide range of fun, non-contact sports activities, utilising specialist sports representatives and age-appropriate sports equipment to enhance learning experience and enjoyment.  These range from traditional to more diverse sports, individual and team sports, in fact something that will appeal to everyone!

Our training policy ensures that our provision is continually evolving to provide new activities, challenges and fun. Here is just a selection of the core sports and activities we deliver…

Dance and gymnastics

Multi-ACTIVE are fully-qualified and have extensive experience of delivering structured and progressive gymnastics and dance teaching programmes within Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, ensuring a high-quality, enjoyable coaching experience centred around the needs of ALL children and young people.

Our gymnastics teaching programme, which focuses on the FUNdamentals and the Learning to Train development phases of the player pathway, will link school, community and club provision and aims to provide increased opportunities to participate and develop in the sport.

Our Dance ACTIVE programme incorporates a range of different and exciting styles in an environment that enthuses, encourages and motivates All children to achieve the best they possibly can, whilst having lots of fun along the way!

Street Dance

Street Dance is an exciting fusion of many different dance styles including disco, modern, hip hop, funk, break dancing and many more, and is extremely popular with children and young people of all ages and abilities. Multi-ACTIVE are passionate about introducing all children and young people to real street dance techniques through professional delivery, making dance an enjoyable, interactive and healthy learning experience for all.

At Multi-ACTIVE, we provide more than just dance classes. Curriculum street dance programmes, school clubs, holiday activity camps, parties, workshops and much more... come and join the fun!

Multi-ACTIVE School Sports Day

School sports days are an occasion on the annual school calendar that all children look forward to.  Multi-ACTIVE have extensive experience of organising, planning and delivering all aspects of school sports days so are happy to work with your school sports coordinator to ensure yours is a success.

Multi-FUN and Fitness

Our Multi-FUN and Fitness programme provide opportunities for all Key Stage 2 children to be active, improve fitness and have FUN, all at the same time!  All activities are FUN-based and are delivered by professionals at the appropriate level for the age, strength and maturity of the children.  Activities include skipping, running, cycling, rowing, circuit training, mini-olympics, climbing wall, SAQ training, sports zones, dodgeball, fitball and dance.

Multi-Skills and FUNdamental Movement

We provide these activities and programmes at every level to develop, improve and challenge FUNdamental movement (agility, balance, co-ordination and speed) and sports (catching, sending, striking and jumping) through multi-skills activities. We can provide these activities as extra-curricular clubs.

Dodgeball

Multi-ACTIVE dodgeball activities are delivered in many different forms which are designed to develop awareness, movement skills and catching and throwing.  Dodgeball is very popular with ALL children and young people and has lead to development of Multi-ACTIVE dodgeball clubs and leagues. 

Tag rugby

Tag rugby is a safe, fun and exciting form of non-contact rugby that exposes the children to the FUNdamentals of passing, evasion, running and support play.  The flexible components and structure of the game make it an inclusive activity for ALL children to participate, regardless of age, ability or disability, and gender. Within the tag rugby framework, children will also be exposed to rugby league rules.

Kwik cricket, rounders and softball

Kwik cricket, rounders and softball are fun, simple games for ALL children within Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with the emphasis always on participation and enjoyment.

Football

Multi-ACTIVE are highly-qualified and experienced in delivering coordinated football coaching programmes that are progressive and reflective of the needs of ALL children within Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  Specifically, the programme is introduced and delivered in a way that is fun, challenging, inclusive and full of variety.

High 5 netball

High 5 netball is a fun and skilful game, where players are able to rotate positions and adapt learnt skills, enabling them to play in any position

Mini-volleyball

Mini-volleyball is a fun, exciting game specifically developed for ALL children within Key Stage 1 and 2.  The modified structure of the game facilitates movement and ball skills, spatial awareness and teamwork.  For our younger members, “balloon” volleyball is the name of the game!

Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, non-contact team sport that mixes the best features of sports such as football, netball, basketball and American football into a simple yet fascinating and demanding game.

Unihoc

Unihoc is an exciting game that has been taken from ice hockey and scaled down so that it can be played in virtually any environment.  The interchangeable nature of possession, leading to rapid switching from defence to attack, ensures that a range of skills are developed.

Tri-Golf

Tri-Golf is a safe, fun, mini-version of golf specifically aimed at young children in primary schools.  It can take place in virtually any environment and uses special, child-friendly equipment and resources to enable all children to learn basic golf skills and enjoy success.

Mini-basketball

Mini-basketball is a fun, simplified version of the full game, aimed at all children within Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  The modified structure of the game facilitates skill development with the introduction of invasion techniques and the use of lower goals, smaller basketballs, teams and a reduced playing area.

Mini-handball

Mini-handball is a fun, exciting game specifically developed for ALL children within Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The modified structure of the game facilitates movement skills, body control, ball skills, spatial awareness and teamwork.
