Safeguarding Children and Young People

Multi-ACTIVE believe sport should be enjoyed by all children and young people who wish to take part, at all levels, and it is our commitment to provide an environment where all participants are protected and kept safe from harm.

Multi-ACTIVE place the highest priority on the safety and enjoyment of all participants engaged in its programmes, and is committed to the highest standards in safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people.

All children and young people have a right to participate and be protected from poor practice and abuse regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnic origin, religion, cultural background, language and social status.

All incidences of poor practice, suspicions and allegations will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.

As part of the ethos of Multi-ACTIVE, we are committed to...

  • recruiting and employing the best representatives to deliver our programmes
  • creating a safe environment by implementing codes of ethics and conduct, training and best practice guidelines
  • promoting clear systems by implementing key policies and procedures to deal with any incidents, concerns and complaints
  • developing a partnership approach to safeguarding and promoting best practice, with schools and other agencies, as well as parents and carers.

Multi-ACTIVE is always looking to improve the services that it offers children and schools; and participation in sports promotes healthy lifestyles, social skills, self-esteem, self-confidence and self-belief; all of which are important components of keeping children safe,  happy and secure.
