Multi-ACTIVE North Warwickshire and Derbyshire
Hello, my name is Chris Massam and I am the Multi-ACTIVE representative for the North Warwickshire and Derbyshire region.
My interest in sport developed from an early age where, in Primary School, I was given the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports such as tag rugby, football, cricket, rounders, athletics, gymnastics and netball. I developed an interest in a number of these sports and attended regular after school clubs, some of which lead to competing against other schools and organisations.
When I continued into secondary education, my experience and skills developed in additional sports such as tennis, swimming, badminton, volleyball, softball, cross country, hockey and golf. However, it was during this time that I began to pursue football and golf to a higher level. My football career began at Cotton Green, a local team in Tamworth, which led me to play for several different teams as I grew older. Today, I play for a local team at semi-professional level. My passion for golf was instilled in me by my father, which then progressed to me being a member of local golf clubs and competing in a range of tournaments around the country. Today, I am currently working towards a single-figure handicap.
